SL49-000 barrier fluid is formulated from the highest quality synthetic base stock and fortified with additives to providea non-reactive, oxidatively stable fluid for seal service over an extremely wide temperature range. This fluid has excellent low temperature fluidity and high temperature stability properties as well as the ability to efficiently transfer heat, and keep the seal face cool. .
SL49-000 barrier fluid does not contain impurities which are known catalyst poisons and are compatible with most commonly used seal materials. This full synthetic fluid is approved by the USDA for H-1 applications (fluids with incidental food contact) and complies fully with the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 178.3570.
